Recreation: The resort is located at the base of Copper Mountain. All chairlifts are within a quarter-mile walking distance of guest housing but complimentary shuttles operate continually throughout the resort. Guests also enjoy complimentary use of the Copper Athletic Club, which features a 25-yard pool, weight room, cardio equipment, spa tubs, saunas, and steam rooms. Summit County, where Copper Mountain is located, offers numerous recreational activities. Besides skiing and snowboarding, winter sports include ballooning, sleigh rides, and snow tubing. Summer sports include hiking, biking, gold panning, ballooning, rafting, and mine tours. * Golf is played at the adjacent Copper Mountain Golf Course as well as the Raven at Three Peaks, 12 miles from the resort, and the Breckenridge Golf Course, a 27-hole Jack Nicklaus-designed municipal course located in Breckenridge, 17 miles from Copper Mountain. * Activities at the Dillon Dam Recreation Area, approximately 12 miles east of Copper Mountain, include boating, sailing, camping, canoeing, fishing, and Nordic skiing.
